Had a great time at Eva Perry Library!
I enjoyed sharing An Instrument for Florenda with a few curious, engaged kids. We talked about persevering when things get hard, community (the people who help you while you are still learning) and writing a book. We even added a little music, which made the experience even more fun. Yes, I’m relearning to play the clarinet. Perseverance in action!
Our Perler bead activity closed out the visit with the kids making instrument keychains. It was a fun way for them to connect with the story and take a little piece of music home.
Looking forward to bringing this interactive author plus music experience to more schools and libraries.
“The sounds of today are tomorrow’s inspiration.”
Program Review
“Thanks so much for the wonderful program you provided to our families. As you saw, the kids had a great time and learned the importance of persevering and working hard to achieve challenging goals.”
